This "TV" studio produces YouTube quality videos so if you are hoping to make a broadcast quality production video for television this project probably isn't for you. We inviting artists, reporters, musicians performers, amature & pro alike to answer this call to network with other artists & producers in an on line & real life network.

This social network of media producers, actors, writers, musicians, and comedians has formed to collectively provide both entertainment for the public and an outlet or venue for local performance artists to get exposure for their work via Video Free Lexington.

Video Free Lexington has built a small studio that we occasionally open to the public. Our goal is to provide on air time for talented individuals and groups in personalized "screen tests" and most importantly promote up coming talent.

In these "blind screen tests" our staff may have no idea what kind of performance you will be producing. We will be large on production and small on talk. You will be granted studio time based on demand. If we find a large turnout of talent we will provide first come first serve access and invite you to contact us in advance to reserve a time slot for your "screen test". Expect about 15 minutes and more time only if it lends itself.

Does this cost anything?
No not at all. It does cost our staff time and some small expense to keep things working and any help you can offer is always appreciated. Most of the work is done by volunteers with professional experience. We do ask that you allow us to use your screen test to further promote the free screen testing service we are providing and our web site Video Free Lexington.

Do artists get paid?
No. We are creating a free social network where artists and producers can meet both on line and in real life as well as gain public exposure for their talent. We do however get your screen test in front of people and depending on your talent that could potentially be of great value. Please keep in mind that we are not doing auditions but rather we are screen testing and promoting your talent. Whatever your performance, you are welcome to return each time we meet and add to your portfolio. Where it takes you nobody knows.

How does this work?
Contact us through this forum for a screen test. Agree to let us promote your screen test and your studio time is free. We'll send you a schedule (after we have established one) and invite you to a party atmosphere where other like minded artisans are gathered to screen test and socialize. Be ready to perform the day you come. It's that simple.

Do I need a script?
No, if you ask someone at the meetings you will likely find someone there that has a script and may already be seeking talent for a role.

Can I post my own video myself
Absolutely. We are helping you build a portfolio silly. Post it everywhere!

Do I get a copy if the Screen Test?
Yes if you want us to provide a DVD to you there would be a charge however we will make live transfer to your laptop or handheld available for free. This program would not be possible without sponsors. Consider that as you use these services. Volunteers & other peoples money are being used to promote you as the artist.

What if I don't want VFL to post my stuff on YouTube?
Ask us about private sessions and paid studio time.
